SAFETY PROCEDURES

Patient safety is a priority of the staff—our goal is to ensure that your office visit is a safe one. Please assist us by cooperating, obeying instructions, reporting any safety hazards, and encouraging visitors to obey the rules.

We believe that patient identification is essential to providing a safe healthcare environment. For this reason, our staff will verify your name and age before starting any tests, procedures, or before administering any medications. We want you to be safety conscious during your stay as well. If you are unsure about a medication or procedure, please ask questions. The staff is ready and willing to assist you; your safety and health are our main concerns.

Personal Electronics

For reasons of safety, no personal electrical devices such as laptops, electronic books, radios, gaming systems, or DVD players are permitted in inpatient areas. Such items may not be compatible with the sensitive medical equipment found in our offices.

Cellular Phones and other Electronic Devices

In an effort to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients, please do not use cellular phones or other electronic devices in the office. Cellular phones, cordless phones, citizen band radios, as well as equipment and games operated by radio remote control are not permitted for use inside the office because they may interfere with medical equipment. Cellular phones must be turned completely off because the devices can transmit even in standby mode. If you must use your cellular phone, please do so outside of the office entrance. Thank you for your cooperation.

Condition Reports

Any personal information about your diagnosis and treatment must come from your physician, and this information is only available to members of your immediate family or whom you designate to receive it.

Our Treatment Approach

We understand that pain is more effectively treated when multiple approaches are combined. Our comprehensive approach to treating chronic pain does not just utilize interventional pain management modalities, such as injections and advanced surgical implants, but also physical therapy, alternative therapies, and medication management.

We treat a wide range of painful conditions with a very small footprint on the patient’s back. Depending on the severity of your condition, you can return to work within a day to a few days.

At interventional pain management we focus on:

  • Obtaining a thorough history and physical examination to reach a precise diagnosis and the exact origin of your pain
  • Using the least invasive spinal procedure that will relieve your pain quickly
  • Providing effective follow-up to ensure fast recovery
  • Ensuring that you remain fit so that you can enjoy long-term relief from back pain
