Dr. Ibrahim is an interventional pain management specialist who utilizes cutting edge techniques to diagnose and treat a wide range of chronic pain conditions including axial, radicular and sciatic pain.
He is a fellowship-trained and double board-certified in Anesthesia and Interventional Pain Management. He completed medical school at Alexandria University School of Medicine with highest honors. He then moved to New York where he taught Biochemistry, Anatomy, and Microbiology at Princeton Review School while he completed an internship at Long Island College Hospital. He finished his anesthesia residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in the top one percent of his peers. Then, he completed a comprehensive fellowship in interventional pain management at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where he practiced the latest in the field of pain management.
After finishing his training, Dr. Ibrahim worked at the top hospitals in the Philadelphia area including Hahnemann University Hospital where he practiced and taught anesthesia and pain management. Then, he moved to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he taught Pain Management. He then founded the Interventional Pain Management Associates, a practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic pain.
Dr. Ibrahim continues to attend a variety of national and international conferences which has greatly helped him to establish a reputable position and to progress as a pain management consultant. He demonstrates leadership and is a true innovator in his medical field.
Dr. Ibrahim treats a wide range of pain conditions including chronic musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, sports injuries, neck and spinal disorders, complex regional pain syndrome (reflex sympathetic dystrophy), post-herpetic neuralgia (shingles), and many other acute and chronic pain syndromes.
He has various publications and abstracts and has received multiple awards during his training and teaching carrier e.g. Teacher of the year award from Princeton Review School and Hahnemann University Hospital. He also received the Certificate of Achievement Award from The State University of New York.
Dr. Ibrahim finds that multimodal therapy provides the most effective outcomes. This is a combination of minimally invasive fluoroscopic guided interventions with targeted medical approaches and assistance from physical therapists and other consulting specialists to treat patients. Overall, Dr. Ibrahim´s mission is to help his patients return to an active, pain-free life.
